Participate in a Study

So, you are interested in participating in a study.  First you need to make sure you fit all of the requirements.  If you meet the requirements, we recommend that read more about what happens during an experiment.  Finally, fill out our questionnaire and e-mail it to us.  We will then contact you to set up an appointment.

Requirements

If you live in the Philadelphia area and are interested in participating as a test subject in a CEL experiment, you must meet the following requirements:

1. You must be right-handed.

2. You must be a native speaker of English, that is, you must speak English fluently and have learned it as a young child.

3. You must not have any learning disabilities, cognitive difficulties, brain injuries, brain disease, or muscular tremors.

4. You must not be taking prescription or nonprescription drugs that can affect your state of mind.

5. Your vision must be normal or corrected to normal (with glasses or contact lenses).

6. You must have normal hearing (no hearing aids).

7. You must not have any open head wounds or skull defects.

8. You must not have braided hair.

9. You must be prepared to show up on time, alert, and well rested.
