Research interests

Infant language development, computational modeling, phonological acquisition, speech segmentation, artificial language learning, information retrieval.

- The Induction of Phonotactics for Speech Segmentation - my dissertation. I obtained my PhD in Linguistics from Utrecht University, 2011. (advisor: René Kager)

- StaGe Software Package (SSP) - a set of tools to calculate phonotactic probabilities, to run phonotactic learning simulations and to use phonotactic probabilities and/or constraints to segment transcribed utterances of continuous speech.
