Game Theory and Costly Signaling
In this general game theoretic model, individuals with three different
strategies interact and get payoffs that depend on both the strategy of the
agent and the strategy of the agent's partner. The initial payoffs are based on
a model of costly signaling on the part of males in order to attract females.
There are several things that can be investigated in this model, including the
influence of the initial number of each strategy on the success of each
strategy, the effect of varying the age of sexual maturity and age of death. In
addition, the carrying capacity of the environment can be altered.
