Central Park, around mile 22. The race was shortly after September 11. It’s hard to see but many of us are wearing commemorative ribbons. Some people ran the race in the place of the friends they had lost, an unbelievable feat. The NYPD and NYFD lined the course and we would cheer for them as they would cheer for us.
